For ‘scenarios of a dissolved workstation’ I have reverse engineered the curatorial concept which is to archive
works that would otherwise be thrown to the landfill, by sourcing for
the piece from the landfill, various containers, street scraps, and fallen lichen.
Collected and improvised through 3 days in London, and then
archiving that.

Dump is an artist-led curatorial project and archive that focuses on preserving emerging or early-stage artists’ artworks in London that would otherwise be abandoned in the face of storage constraints and/or the soaring cost of living. Initiated in Oct 2023, culturally and academically, we are interested in filling the critical gaps within institutional archive and museum collections concerning early-stage artworks from emerging artists of their times. Through a series of art-driven experimentations, we secure sponsorships in offering short- or long-term storage solutions to those ‘abandoned’ artworks. Our projects take shape as exhibitions, social gatherings, online feeds, and an upcoming 3D preservation space to be launched late October this year.”
